Galleries get an overhaul

REALNewcastle is really excited to announce the launch of a slew of new photo gallery features with improved performance and navigation of photos, making it even easier to peruse those pics and share them with friends!

Clicking to view a photo now brings up a "share" button allowing you to instantly ping the photo up on your Facebook profile or send it as a message to another Facebook member... all you need to do is log in to your Facebook account (most of you will already be logged in) and the system will do the rest. Give it a go! You'll be as amazed as we were when it worked!

"Yumming" a photo now comes in two flavours! You can leave an anonymous Yum (as before), and you can now leave your name on a Yum if you don't mind everyone knowing it was you! Yums now appear as lovely kisses actually on the photo itself, making it a very satisfying experience!

You can also now leave a vote for a photo... At the moment the votes show up on each individual photo - but you can be sure we'll be bringing you galleries of people's favourite photos in each vote category, so get clicking to make sure your favourite photos are featured!

Minor tweaks... We've also changed a few things that you might not notice at first but which we hope will make your viewing experience more pleasurable! We've moved the 'previous' and 'next' buttons to the top of the screen so that they don't move around on each page (means you can happily sit clicking 'next' rather than having to hunt for the button!). We've also changed the way photo comments works so that you can leave more than one per image... finally you can have the last word if you want it! As long as it's not too rude of course...!
